For your consideration is an absolutely gorgeous 1949 GMC 3100 Short Bed Pick Up Truck. This isn’t grandpa’s ole farm truck! This beauty is set up how you would want a Classic Street Rod Truck. 350 V8, 350 Turbo Automatic Trans, Ford 9” rear with 3.73 gears, disc brakes, and power steering. This was set up to be fast and loud, yet drivable and manageable at the same time., , Frame off restored about 4 years ago, and less than 1,000 miles on the restoration, this truck is still a show stopper. Everything on this vehicle is new or been redone. Engine and trans were rebuilt at time of restoration. As you can see in the photos, The base coat-clear coat Torch Red paint has an amazing shine and much depth. The chrome bumpers and door handles are new, and have a brilliant luster. The front Grill (with the off white backing) is new and looks perfect with the style of the truck. The frame shines gloss black. No rust, bubbles, decay, on the undercarriage or paint. Also, it has no shoddy spot welds or cut up floor pans. Floors, cab corners, doors, fenders are all solid with no issues. All Steel body, fenders, and running boards., , This Pick Up runs great! The 3” Flowmaster Exhaust sounds incredible! The previous owner told me the engine was a 383 Stroker. He had no documentation to prove it was, so I am not representing it as such. I can tell you however that by the sound and acceleration of this machine, it’s not of just some plain ole 350! It rides and handles very well for what it is. Straight down the road, free of those stereotypical old car rattles, shimmy’s and shakes. And yes, everything works. That is the question I am asked most when selling a vehicle… What does it need? The Fuel gauge has been off lately, and may potentially need a sending unit. Other than that, esthetically and mechanically this truck is turnkey ready to drive, cruise, burn out, or win car shows with. It needs nothing but your personal touch or flavor. Gauges, Lights, Blinkers, Brakes, Radio, etc all function as they should., It is a GMC, and titled as a GMC. But yes, it does have a Chevrolet tailgate. Either way, it is a beautiful vehicle.
