This is one nice 1956 Ford Thunderbird! Owned for many years by a Ford enthusiast, this 1956 Ford Thunderbird 312 Coupe is the real deal. This T-Bird is the recipient of a body-off restoration, which was finished in 2005. Everything was put back as original as possible. The odometer reads 59,221, and those are in fact original miles. Take a look at the pictures and the video for this beautiful Thunderbird. The paint is a very nice medium blue, with a hint of pearl. Both the front and rear chrome bumpers are in outstanding condition. The doors open and close nicely, and all of the lips and jambs are clean and rust free. The soft convertible top is white, and in very good condition as well. Check out that short continental kit out back! The trunk is nicely finished with a mat and jack. I love the look of those wide white’s sitting at all four corners. This is one tight and clean, nicely restored Bird! This T-Bird has a 312 V8 engine under the hood, and it runs awesome. The paint job on the motor is beautiful, as is the paint on the inner fenders and firewall. The person who restored this car did one hell of a job. The heater blower motor and duct work are all hooked up, and there is a generator to charge the battery. The polished thunderbird valve covers shine on either side of the polished air cleaner. The exhaust manifolds have a nice coat of paint, and the upper control arms have new bushings. There is even power steering and a power brake set up on this car, which is pretty rare. Let’s check out the underneath side of the car. The automatic transmission performs flawlessly. The super solid x-frame is nicely painted and in great shape. There is no pitting to be found. All of the frame rails are clean and painted. There is a light coat of blue paint on the underbody, and there are no patches. The rockers and body mounts are solid as well. Out back, you will find rebuilt period correct aftermarket springs, new shocks and new solid brake line and new wheel cylinders. The period correct exhaust system has a little bit of rust on it, but is otherwise in great shape. This T-Bird also has new transmission cooler lines, new brake lines, new fuel lines and new power steering lines. The brake system has been upgraded with aftermarket disc brakes, with 4 piston calipers and great looking rotors. Up front there are new bushings on the lower control arms, new ball joints, and the steering gear has a nice paint job. The interior of the car is very nice as well. Everything was redone, including the two-tone blue/white vinyl bench seats, dash and door panels. Some nice features include power seat and power windows. The gauges are crystal clear and there is an aftermarket digital radio mounted under the dash. On either side of the floor shifter lie a set of Thunderbird rubber floor mats. In summary, this is an absolutely great driving, investment grade car, that is ready for decades of cruising and showing.
