1957 Studebaker Silver Hawk, Packard V-8, 3 speed, tach and gauges, very straight and rust free Oklahoma car, brand new wide white wall tires. The story I was given about the car is that the original owner drag raced it through the 50s and 60s, which is the reason behind the big Packard being transplanted into the car. When we tore the engine down to freshen it up, we found that the engine no longer displaced 374 cubic inches, but was bored out to nearly 460 cubes, the car also is equipped with custom-built headers and traction bars that appear to have some age to them. The original owner died several years ago in his early 80s, never having been married or having any children, he donated all his belongings, including this car to the church he attended. I purchased the car from the church and they relayed this story to me: the big motor, the old school drag racing modifications, and the decals from Green Valley Raceway, which was near Fort Worth, Texas, and one from the Oklahoma City Timing Association, all lead me to believe the story behind the car is true. I was told the 19,000 miles are correct. In the door jam are the oil change stickers, the only one still legible is from 1965 when the car had just a little over 10,000 miles, the car has been off the road since 1974. This car runs great. Now is your opportunity to own a missing link in drag racing history. For further information on this vehicle, please call 214-212-5111 or 214-212-6373.
