Very few automobile manufacturing companies with such short lived life spans had such an impact as Edsel. Today, it continues to attract a worldwide following of car collecting investors! Most car enthusiasts don’t realize they were around for just 3 years! Between the years of 1958-1960, approximately 4,000 cars were produced in convertible form between the top 3 model series. By 1959, only 1,343 remained in convertible for the Edsel Corsair. It has become one of the most sought after of Edsels today! We are delighted to offer this 1959 Edsel Corsair Convertible finished in factory correct President Red & Snow White color combination over matching red & white interior and white top! Power comes from the top of the line 361ci V8 fitted with the Dual Power 3-speed automatic transmission and 2.91:1 rear end! This beautifully restored example shows wonderfully from all angles! The exterior paintwork and chrome are in magnificent condition, and the under hood presentation is ready to impress! It showcases a solid original frame and body panels, with a very comprehensive cosmetic restoration to like new condition. The carpeted trunk does lack the original spare, but is ready to haul mountains of luggage to your next touring event. It comes to us from a prominent collection in Texas where it has been cared for with great appreciation and showing just 75,326 miles on the odometer. Unfortunately, the St. Louis Car Museum does not have enough documentation to support a true, actual mileage claim.
