Car was a barn find 22 years ago in Virginia (virginia registration sticker is still on the window and it is pictured) when a local New Yorker purchased it from the original owner to lightly restore and drive around. The car has an original 70k miles! After sitting in his garage for 20 years and not a whole lot getting done, aside from painting the valve covers and air lid, he then decided to move to Florida and the 59 Skyliner that hadn't run in over 30 years certainly wasn't going with him! So, my client purchased the car from him and after doing quite a few things to make it road worthy he is now ready to sell it due to financial obligations. This car runs, drives, stops, the power steering works, the lights work, etc! The body and paint is good driver quality, the grill is pretty nice but there is a small dent in the chrome above the grill. Sides of the car are pretty straight and there is a small nick or two from normal wear and tear. You can drive it like it is or repair a few minor things to make it even better. I will explain it all to you here...He received the car not running so he had his mechanic go over it and make it run nicely and fixed the exhaust pretty well at the time but it has since started leaking a little so it has an exhaust leak. he is not sure if the engine is original or not but it is a V8 with power steering and it runs pretty well. He had gone through the brakes as there weren't any at the time and they stop fine now with many many new parts like new pads, wheels cylinders, bearing, cut drums...a complete 4 wheels brake job was done. I got most of the top to work as well but while the rear hatch lock works electrically as it should, the motor for the up and down isn't working. The top itself works fine as you can see in the pics but it shifts over a little when going down so it needs a little adjustment. With a little nudge it will go down fine. The car has pretty much all of the lights working, I think the reverse lights stopped working today and the left blinker in rear only. They all worked a month ago so I am sure it is something minor. The car has had very little rust ever and is impressively solid throughout the car. The interior is pretty nice as you can see and the door panels appear to be the originals in very good shape! Seats have little wear and are nice, the carpet is pretty good. The continental kit is complete with rim and other parts but I do not have a tire. In the picture it is just sitting there. I am running the car off of a 4 gallon tank in the trunk area because he didn't want to use the old gas in the tank. The tank will need to be emptied and flushed to use it again or you can simply buy a new one which was $250 when he last priced them. He is quite sure that the tank in the car is fine but it is up to the new owner on what he wants to do. The rear glass window has a crack but he has a replacement for it that is perfect. It will not take much to make this a pretty nice driver. It's Priced to Sell Fast, so please act fast...
