This is an all original Fairlane sedan. Quite a statement considering it is a young 51 years old with less than 49,000 miles! With only 3 owners, all have taken exquisite care of this Ford classic. The exterior black finish is in exceptional condition for its years as well as the chrome bright work. 1959 featured a new re-styled trademark stainless-steel "Fairlane stripe" on the side panels, the introduction of the star burst grill, and with the quad headlights this top of line model carried a bit more luxurious appearance. Pop the hood and you're presented with a very clean engine bay supporting the powerful T-Bird 292 CID Y-block V8 engine with a 3-speed manual transmission. Boasting a stout 192 hp, the driver enjoyed plenty of power when cruising our new super freeways. The two-tone gray interior is just plain classy with the black exterior, and both front and rear bench seats have been wrapped in clear vinyl to retain their original quality, color and finish. This was a common option offered by dealers as these sedans truly became "family" vehicles. The dashboard carries a modern theme with high styling chrome knobs and accents. Without the help of power steering, the large multi-ring and spoke steering wheel with Ford coat-of-arms emblem provided the driver plenty of control and room to view the wide instrument cluster. Factory options were few, but this American classic sedan includes an AM push button radio with amber controls. Lastly, you would expect the trunk to show some wear and tear, but again one is surprised to find the original vinyl trunk liner and a wide-side whitewall spare tire.
