Just up for sale from my Personal Collection is this fully rotisery restored 1961 Chevy Impala Converitble. It came in to our dealership over 5 years ago as a nearly rust free original California black plate classic. I put it right in the shop and started dreaming about how I wanted to build it. It came from the factory as a 348 V8 with a turbo glide automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power top, and dual exhaust. The car had its original black paint on it when it came in to our dealership. The original red and white interior was very presentable and I was going to leave it all original inside until the last minute and decided I better replace it and make it perfect. So it has new correct red-white interior all ordered out of Classic Industries, including carpet, preassembled door panels, carpet, seat covers, new foam, dash pad, and the complete dash blasted and painted during restoration. Also in the dash was installed a Alpine CD player, and a new $700 dollar Dakota Digital Dash including tachometer, gauges, and speedo. The top frame was all completely taken apart blasted, painted black and reinstalled including a good pump, and new hoses. The rubbers all around the top were also replaced when the new black canvas top was professionally installed. The Undercarriage is so clean you can eat off it. The original frame was pulled off the car blasted painted and also the floors were blasted and painted on the rotisserie before being set back down on the frame. The frame is still its original frame with 4 wheel disk brakes, factory power steering, and a brand new crate LS1 Fuel injected V8 400 HP engine, backed up by a new 4L65 E automatic transmission. It is equipped with chrome headers, dual exhaust, hi flow radiator, dual fans, 4 wheel power disk brakes, power steering, power top, and has the pulley system that is set up for air conditioning. When building it I had no intention of selling this black beauty but thought as long as it is sitting in the show room for the winter here in Iowa I might as well put it on the website. It runs and drives great down the road with everything working as it should. The black paint is laid out beautifully over a laser straight and solid rust free body. The exterior chrome, grille, bumpers, and stainless is all new. This is just like a brand new 1961 impala with todays modern comforts of fuel injection, digital gauges, and 4 wheel disk brakes.
