The Galaxie 500 was the top trim package you could order in 1962, which included more chrome on rocker panel moldings, quarter panel moldings, and A pillar moldings. The 1962 is noted as being one of the cleaner designs to come from Dearborn., This Galaxie retains original engine and drivetrain. The engine is a 352 that has been bored out to 390, with many chrome parts and an edlebrock intake. It also still has the factory cast iron headers. The transmission was rebuilt six months ago. The car has a track mounted battery in the trunk. The entire interior is original as well. This Black Beauty rides on chrome American Racing wheels with BFGoodrich tires with plenty of tread life left.
