Nobody else in the car field came close to building a car with this engine and transmission setup. The car to see is the Pontiac Tempest, if you can wait that long. This has been a one family car, it was all original until 1990 when the family decided to repair it as needed., , The Tempest was not driven for the last several years. The owner decided it was time to get her out of the garage and get her running well and asked us to bring the great little car back to life again. We didnt need to do much. We dropped the fuel tank and had it flushed and cleaned. We changed fuel lines and changed filters. We rebuilt the carburetor and basically just gave the Tempest a really good cleaning. The result is a really nice car to have fun with., This car is equipped with various driving comforts, while still keeping its original and classic look. The exterior is finished in a nice red finish while the interior is a 63 classic red and white to match the exterior. This is a great starter car for the first time classic buyer. Its priced right and economical., , , The tempest used the new slant-four that derived from half of a Pontiac 389 cu in V-8. Not only was the resulting 194.5 cu in engine simple to produce but it offered power and torque. Trophy Four is Pontiacs first ever four cylinder used in a single barrel carb and it offered 140 hp., , The paint is in good condition, only imperfections are as shown in the picture below. The car got repainted in 1990 as it was needed and the body is exceptionally straight. The nose with the square version of the twin grilles with egg crate inserts look stunning, this year Pontiac added rear fender to the powerful stance. , , The interior features a stunning red and white bucket seats in the front and a bench seat in the back. In great condition all through out the car, with no show of usage or cracks. The bucket seats are not original to the car., , Features a Grant GT wood steering wheel and its original gauges intact and still working. The upholster shows very well and is the correct for this car. The air condition works and blows cold air for this upcoming summer days and its radio is currently not working. The doors close smoothly with no problems, as well as the hood and the trunk. The door panels are very clean and well kept. Under the hood is the 194.5 ci 4 cylinder engine paired with a 3 speed manual transmission., , Still in great shape is the convertible white top, great when the top is up and even better when its down to cruise around downtown and the streets of your home town. The undercarriage is very clean, showing signs of minor surface rust in some places, it has been well kept for the past 50 years.
