The third generation of the full size Chevrolet was restyled on the existing GM "B" platform. The new body styling was more trim and boxy than the 58-60 models. The rare Super Sport (SS) option debuted for 1961. This style proved extremely popular, and contributed to the desirability of the 62-64 Impalas as collectibles. This Impala SS is powered by a 327-4bbl/250hp V8 with the four speed manual transmission. The restoration was completed in 2006 and upon inspection the vehicle presents itself very well. Fit and finish of body panels is as good as new, and likely better owing to the superior materials used for refinishing that are available today. The body is straight with no waviness and the paint exhibits a high degree of luster. All of the chrome and bright work has been replaced or refurbished and shows exceptionally well. The interior appears to have been completely restored and in very good condition. This includes upholstered portions as well as painted portions. Everything works as it should. All work on the exterior and the interior of the vehicle were done to maximum professional standards. The undercarriage of this vehicle is in very good original condition and does not appear to have been restored. All of the suspension components are in very good condition. The exhaust appears to be new. This vehicle would be discribed as a "very high end driver quality" car. This car will not disappoint. Please call Roy with any questions.......941-639-6767.
