The car was totally restored by Phil Galloway, Waterloo, Iowa for the Dr. Steve Price collection. The car received its Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Senior Designation and Grand National 1st Prize in 1995/1996, respectively. It has been driven approximately 1,700 (one thousand, seven hundred) miles since. All power, to include A/C (never charged), AM/FM radio, Kelsey-Hayes wire wheels, original 1964 Tonneau cover which is extremely rare. Reproduction Tonneau covers are available for approximately $550.00, which feature the rounded aluminum trim as opposed to the concave trim used on the originals. Original tonneau covers are in the ballpark of $3,500 - $4,000., , , , This vehicle is believed to be 1 of 47 original roadsters produced in model year 1964 utilizing factory leftover wheels and tonneau cover. While there has been considerable debate as to whether the '64 model year produced a real roadster, there is no specific documentation to substantiate either claim, i.e., there is no specific title and/or VIN identification to specify the roadster designation., The car features power steering, power brakes and electric convertible top riser. It has recently undergone the replacement of a new upper deck limit switch, hydraulic pump motor, sealed battery, power steering pump and complete power brake booster with lifetime transferable warranty., This vehicle is one of the most highly detailed Thunderbirds on the East Coast and features rechromed bumpers, door handles and all external chrome. The restoration also included the rechroming of all interior chrome pieces at great expense. The car is a consistent winner at all local and national car shows having received multiple trophies for Best of Show, Best in Class, First Place, People's Choice and Best Engine.
