This car is a replica of the Cobra 289 FIA, body and chassis by NAF North American Fiberglass, known for their accuracy of proportions and heavy duty body. The 289 FIA was a model especially built by Shelby for European racing with wider tires, fenders, etc. than the normal COBRA 289 and with a different fuel cap and roll bar location than the 427 model. The frame is rectangular steel tube. It features 373 gears, Ford 9" Posi rear, Ford 4 speed toploader and a Mustang II front end, discs front and drums rear. It has a mildish cam and a Mallory distributor. The engine is a built 289 with J302 heads, and features 17" American Racing Halibrand style wheels with new tires. It has a new battery. Authentic Stewart Warner Gauges, Moto-Lita Wood Rimmed Wheel, It has less than 1100 miles, and was built by a former Ford Parts US manager (now deceased).
