Vintage trucks are extremely popular right now, and if this 1966 Chevrolet C10 is any indication, there's a bright future in old haulers. From the gorgeous show-quality paint to the rumbling 350 under the hood, this cool pickup offers a custom twist on the original design. Finished in basic white, this truck is a movie star. The Fleetside offered dramatic styling with lots of swoops and curves, as well as brilliant use of trim, and all of it remains intact on this hauler. Although restored several years ago, this truck has been meticulously maintained since the work was complete, and that high level of TLC is plainly evident when you see the truck in person. Paint and bodywork are done to a very high standard, and this truck will be right at home both at local shows and on the streets afterwards. The rear bumper was shaved and a custom rear roll pan integrated into the bodywork, and the tailgate has been smoothed. Other styling details include the wing-like lip at the back of the cab, which probably has no real function but looks really cool. However, all the original trim remains, from the massive front bumper and delicate egg crate grille, to the cool cast trim piece behind the cab, to the polished stainless along the sides that is strongly reminiscent of the Impala SS trim from just a few years earlier. And all the custom pinstriping adds interest, along with that beautiful wood-lined bed that has successfully retired from its day job as a laborer-there's even pinstriping on the inner fenders and inner walls of the bed! Trucks were austere machines when they were new, but this one has had a full luxury upgrade during the build. The original bench was recovered in tan fabric, tying in perfectly with the matching door panels, contrasting copper-colored dash and matching carpets. Note the extensive use of pinstripes inside as well, giving the truck a traditional custom vibe, and while the build was obviously done some years ago, it shows very little wear. The original gauges are a very cool setup with a single face that certainly looks restored, along with an auxiliary gauge neatly recessed into the dash to the right of the steering column. A/C has been skillfully added with vents in the dash and neatly integrated controls, and a modern head unit offers AM/FM/CD/DVD capability with a drop-down LCD screen. Very cool! When the truck was restored a few years ago, a 350 cubic inch V8 was nestled between the front fenders then completely detailed for show. Tons of chrome, gold plating, and other bright items sparkle under the hood, and the block itself was painted copper to match the interior. An Edelbrock carb helps make power, so it runs beautifully, and all the accessories were upgraded, including the alternator, power steering, power brakes, and the aftermarket A/C system. It starts easily with a great V8 rumble from the dual exhaust system, and with a TH350 3-speed automatic, it's easy to drive. The chassis is equally spectacular, with everything either painted, polished, or plated, with spectacular build quality throughout. The finishing touch is a set of 18-inch Ridler wheels wearing fat Michelin radials. Still a show-stopper, this truck demonstrates that things of quality have no fear of age. Call today!
