This amazing 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 is exactly what collectors mean when they talk about good, clean survivor cars. Loaded with a matching numbers 318, factory air, and fully documented, this car has covered just 2100 miles per year since new. Think about that for a minute... That Medium Tan Metallic paint is the original color, and has a soft shine that modern paints just can't duplicate. There has never been any sheetmetal replacement, no rust, and never an accident in this car's history. The paint was completely wet sanded, buffed, and coated with a protective clearcoat in 1985, which is how the car is presented today. It has that soft shine that vintage paint shows, and remains completely presentable as-is; repainting this car could be considered a crime. In the same way, all the trim and chrome is original, showing restorers just what it looked like when it was new-nice, huh? All the glass save for the windshield is original, the lenses and name plates are factory-installed, and the only notable cosmetic modification is a set of aftermarket fender skirts that give it a period-correct vibe. Inside, the interior is all original save for the carpets, which were replaced in 2001 when the car was purchased from the original owner (yes, she owned the car for more than 34 years!). That original vinyl upholstery looks as good today as it did on the showroom floor, with detailing that no reproduction kit can quite match. And there's not a single split seam, no cigarette burns, no discoloration from the hot sun, nothing-it's as close to new as you'll ever find in an original car. The steering wheel is untouched, a gorgeous piece that ties the tan and black colors together perfectly. That radio is the original AM Music Master, the vents in the dash are proof that this is a factory A/C car, and the trunk is completely unmolested. This car just keeps getting more amazing the longer you look at it. The engine is a 220 horsepower 318, which combines with a TorqueFlite automatic to deliver the thrust. Numbers match throughout, and the engine has never been apart. Conscientious maintenance from new ensures that it starts easily, idles smoothly, and pulls through the gears like new. Dominated by the massive A/C compressor, the engine bay has been recently detailed and new components include plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, condenser, and a freshly rebuilt carburetor. Power brakes were installed by a master mechanic using factory components, and all the studs on the car were converted to right-hand threads for safety. Out back, an 8.75-inch rear carries easy-cruising 2.98 gears, and it rolls on a set of handsome Magnum 500 wheels, although the original steel wheels and flawless factory hubcaps are included.
