Tom Photsios 248-974-9513 tom@vanguardmotorsales.com Looking at some of the cars I see at shows, I think subtlety is a lost art. Then something like this amazing 1968 Camaro shows up and my faith is renewed. At first, it merely looks like a nicely finished coupe, but as you look closer, you notice that there are a lot of neat tricks that really make it stand out. And then you open the hood, you check out the interior, and it keeps getting better and better. There's definitely more to this Camaro than meets the eye. For many Camaro fans, the pure lines of the '67-68 cars are as good as Camaros get, and I tend to agree. This one has been finished properly, and the bodywork is nicely done. The gaps are good, and the body lines are straight. This California car has never seen salt. There is no rust to be found on this laser straight body. The show quality paint is a stunning Lemans blue with black racing stripes. All of the chrome and stainless trim is all new, and looks fantastic.  Under the hood you will find the original numbers matching 327. This is no junkyard dog, and it's impressive as hell the first time you open the hood at a show. The highly detailed engine bay features a 292 cam, new Holley 600 double pumper, HEI distributor, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and ceramic coated headers. It starts instantly, idles perfectly even when it's ice cold, and everything works like it would in a brand new car. A 4 speed Muncie transmission is paired up with the motor. It all ends up with a 3:55 posi-traction 10 bolt rear end. New Flowmaster exhaust delivers a nice vintage sound. New leaf springs and power drum brakes were also added. The previous owner went with tried-and-true Rallys wearing brand new Uniroyal Tiger Paw tires. Inside you will find a new blue interior. The buckets and back seat have been upholstered to match, including blue seatbelts. New gauges, an aftermarket tachometer and Hurst Competition shifter were updated. New carpets, door panels, and a fresh headliner give it a suitably fresh look. In the trunk you'll find correct spatter paint and a fresh mat. Documentation includes the original owner's manual and 1968 Camaro protection plan. This Camaro is extremely well built and will have a lot of fans at shows. It is an absolute blast to drive. Fully sorted and with everything fully functional, it's exactly the kind of car that gets a lot of second and third looks at a show, and drivers of much more modern machinery will be stunned when you swat them with this 44-year-old coupe. Fast, cool, and functional, this car has everything going for it. Call today! 248-974-9513    Â
