1968 Chrysler New Yorker Hatchback I4 Automatic 1.8 S

Chrysler lovers! I recently acquired this beautiful New Yorker from the family of the second owner. Stored in a garage for 25 years, left this '68 4 door hardtop in very nice, unmolested condition. The history behind the car is as follows: Bought new on the East Coast and before one year old, moved to El Paso, Texas, where it stayed until now. Elderly driver quit driving over 25 years ago and parked the Chrysler in her garage where it sat covered until I brought it to Wichita, KS, about four months ago. The fuel tank was emptied and flushed, brakes flushed and checked, oil/filter changed, and transmission R/R with new seals and filter. The original paint shines up very nicely with some blemishes on the doors after 44 years of existence. Options include factory A/C, power seat, power windows, power brakes, power steering, tilt/telescoping wheel, and 8 track AM stereo. The vinyl top is in excellent condition with no bubbles from underneath and a rich, supple look and feel. The stock 440 4 barrel, 350 HP V8 runs very smoothly and the Torqueflite shifts like new. You can hear the 4 barrel carb open up when the passing gear is engaged. The cooling system was completely serviced with flushing, new hoses, new thermostat & housing, new radiator and 50/50 antifreeze installed. The R 12 A/C blows cold! Check out the photos and see how nice this '68 New Yorker has been preserved. The bias belted tires are at least 25 years old and have flat spots from sitting so tires are in order. The black cloth interior has some sun fade however, is all intact and original. The headliner is like new. No cracks in the dash or other plastic. Come look and drive this classic beauty.
