70 Monte Carlo, numbers matching 350 2bbl, TH350 automatic, single exhaust, power steering, power disc brakes factory ice cold air conditioning, bucket seats and console. This is a very sharp car that has not been crashed or trashed. Its been a daily driver and well maintained its entire life. No signs of it being driven in harsh winters or abused. 1 repaint decades ago and still looks beyond nice, as it has been well cared for and stored under cover. This car was sold new in Yates Center Kansas to some folks in Manhattan, then it went to an owner in Emporia that had it painted and kept it garaged. It changed hands about 7 years ago to another man that also maintained it well as a daily driver. This is not a worn out car that had to be completely rebuilt, and still has most of its original interior components (headliner, dash, carpet) but has had the seats recovered. Recent shocks and brakes, heater core and tune up. Engine and all drive train components are stock and unaltered. A/C system has been upgraded to 134A and works great. You would swear this is a 5 year old car if you didn't know what year it was. Odometer shows 176K miles but looks like a 76 thousand mile car, or less. Under close inspection you will find only a few signs of slight wear. Does not smoke, burn oil, or leave a mess in the driveway. The care and attention to normal maintenance the previous owners have given this car make it an impressive original vehicle that draws as much attention as an original Camaro will. , , This is a car you can get in and drive anywhere, right now, without spending another dime on. Would make a great first car for a deserving beginner, and can be upgraded as time and money allows. Would also make a great candidate for an SS clone in sheeps clothing. When you have a car like this, plan extra time into your trips for all the onlookers stories of the Monte Carlo they remeber 'just like it' from days past. A little effort and paint would go a long way in the engine compartment to make this a show quality original car that a beginning enthusiast would be proud to take to local shows., , If you have been looking for a 70, you know that there are 3 things about these cars: 1)very few had buckets and console unless they were SS cars, 2) most of them were some sort of hideous green inside and out, and 3) average price of a clean non SS 350 car is around $15800. Quite honestly, I didnt give a ton for the car, and Im not looking to make a fortune off one car. I would still like to keep it priced within grasp of most people. You could buy the car and turn it for a profit, if you decided not to keep it. Or keep it and be in the cleanest Monte Carlo in town for thousands less than what its worth., , More pics and info at www.themopardude.com or call 620-364-8200, , $9950, , ,
