According to the Family Mr Milita from day #1 This car was Loved and well cared for and always garage kept. The mileage accumulated between 1971 & 1976 according to the records I found. However the owner drove this car from 1971 until 1986 at which time it was finally parked and it recieved its final New York State inspection sticker which is still presently attached to the windshield. However the car remained still insured and registered up until 1991, Where finally being that the car was being stored for so long the owner decided to drop the insurance and registration at that time where it finally sat until December 2012. The car was always started occasionally and I was told that the gas was drained out and properly stored of which I have found records with the car that describe the way to properly store a vehicle for long amounts of time. The owner sent the car out on a flatbed prior to me picking it up and had the carburator rebuilt and vehicle prepped and tended too inorder to get it running properly. Mr Milita enjoyed the finer things in life, Beautiful home in Village of Old Westbury and a fine Automobile collection that consisted of a good number of cars. But this 1971 Lincoln Mark 3 was his favorite and being proud of it he treated as such. Things that I have noticed is that the car needs to be driven as it will smoke a little on the warm up but it will clear up once full warmed up. The mufflers do not make any noise however they could use a change only the mufflers itself pipes look fine. The only area on the car repainted was the Driver sde front fender and Driver door, But it was done way back in 1973. So the good news is they used the exact same laquer paint back at that time to repaint that area, Bad news is that those 2 repainted areas show some signs of paint spidering. The rest of the paint is all original which is about 90% of the rest of the car and Shines well looks good but has some polishing scratches, nicks and things of that sort. One small area on the drivers side rear quarter panel the paint has been buffed and worn down. But with all that said I still think the car is stand up, Its definately a SURVIVOR and remains UNRESTORED and looks really really good and runs down the road nicely a real sweet ride!
