1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle ALL Whell Driveawd

Just Toys Classic Cars is proud to present this 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle. This is just one cool and custom Beetle. This is not your run of the mill Beetle for sure., , The block was upgraded to a 1776 dual port AS41 magnesium block and the heads were rebuilt with a gasket match port job and an Engle 100 cam kit and the bottom end was balanced as well. There was a new hi volume oil pump and new gears and new nuts and bolts installed as well as Empi 32-36 carb and manifolds, and Scat guide tubes, and a deep sump oil pan. An electric fuel pump with pressure regulator and gauge were installed with a new generator and regulator also, and a new degreed pulley. 009 distributor and Bosch coil and plugs. Headers going to an empi muffler were installed to make all the exhaust gasses leave as quickly as possible. This sweet 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle was tuned by fisher buggies in Tampa, Florida., , A 71 flat windshield was installed with super beetle with quarter moons, and the front blinkers, side moldings and gas door was shaved. All rust cut out and steel welded back in including full length floor pans, as well as replacing the rear storage shelf with 20 gauge steel with 2 access doors, one for the starter and the other for the clutch cable adjuster. The front frame has 2 angle steel welded in and a skid plate to stiffen the front end. This prevents the high speed death shake that 90% of the super beetles get. , , The Interior was insulated through the entire car, even the roof. A Mitsubishi eclipse gas door was installed and modern gas tank vent system used. 60s era rear tail lights used instead of the big elephant feet style. , , The suspension was lowered 3 and new struts and all front suspension and steering was replaced including new wheel bearings on all 4 corners, and the complete brake system replaced and or repaired. , , The interior has been done with cavalier front seats and the factory rear seat was retained. The headliner is a modern style velour, and the dash and console are all done in fiberglass. The pedal assembly with wide foot kit and new cables was installed for folks like us that have size 13 D shoes, and a Grant GT steering wheel was installed as well. The true 71 steering column was fully rebuilt as well. , , The door panels are done with new interior panel kit in basic black, and California 1 piece windows with with new regulators seals and scrapers were installed, and a modern rear view mirror mounted on glass. Wolfsburg seat belts were installed to keep everything in tight for safety. The speedometer was zeroed out at rebuild, so the mileage that you see is all that has been put on the car since it was done. , , This war was originally built for a turbo drag racer but decided to keep her road worthy. Functional side scoops were made to force air into the sides of engine to help cool at higher speeds. American racing 8 spoke brushed rims with new tires were added at all four corners. , , This 1971 Volkswagen Super Beetle was completely primered and then sprayed black and then GM firethorn red. The graphics are silver with burnt orange marble effect, and the edges were freehand edged. Next it was sprayed with 4 coats of house of colors ghost gold pearl and then 4 coats of clear. , , Car was completed less than a year ago so everything is still fresh and has not been used or abused.
