1974 Honda Civic 2WD EXT CAB I4

1974 "ONE OF A KIND" Honda Civic Rag Top. Gag Wind Up Caris in Very Good Condition.Practically re-built from frame up. No Accidents. The key on the back turns CCW when the car is moving. When the clutch is pushed in...it will stop. Thus the illusion of a wind up hybrid car. The car is a crowd gatherer. It is a total "Hoot" on the road. It BLOWS people away when the key starts turning when you start moving. Great for movie or commercial rental. Would be fantastic for a hybrid or insurance commercial... or ?., The car was converted from a 2 door hatchback. It was stripped down to the shell and almost entirely re-built., All modifications are sheet metal, not fiberglass and bondo. There is no rust in the bodywork and has been garaged since 1991. After cutting the roof, the frame was strengthened using two rectangular 1.5" x 3" rails x .125" wall thickness and a roll bar., It has an electronic ignition module and Weber two barrel performance carburetor. The engine has been rebuilt with about 10,000 miles on it. It was primarily used for car shows and exhibitions. The car is exempt from smog checks, However it passed with a comfortable margin before it became exempt. The car runs great. Brakes & Starter have been rebuilt recently. Cost about $20k to build.
