Nicely restored 1974 Pontiac Grand Am Colonnade Hardtop. , When was the last time you saw one of these. Only 13961 Grand Ams were made in 1974, far less than the nearly 35000 made in the 1st year of production, 1973. This car was sold by Gary C. Vincel Pontiac in St. Louis MO at a total cost of $5362.90. This Grand Am was one of 5 cars found in a yard late last summer. It had sat for nearly 10 years until FMC rescued it. Since then, the car has been treated to a complete restoration and is now ready for sale. , The restoration includes a complete repaint in the original Cameo White using todays 2 stage lacquer paint and clear coat. The rear bumper has been re-finished and looks brand new. Front 5mph bumper is body color from the factory (no chrome). The interior is as good as new. Carpet and headliner has been replaced. Dash and seats are like new free of any cracks or tears. This car came nicely equipped from the factory with power steering, power disc brakes, air conditioning, front & rear seat belts, optional factory tach, tilt wheel, Safe-T-Track Differential, Rallye 2 (Honeycomb) wheels, dual exhaust, 15" WW radials, rear window electric defroster, dual outside mirrors and more. An aftermarket in-dash removable face CD AM-FM 4 speaker stereo with subwoofer replaced the original AM radio. The new system sounds incredible. The AMP is in the trunk and shown in photos. , The original matching numbers 400ci engine and factory 4bbl carb runs beautifully. She starts instantly, runs perfectly and stops as she should. The TurboHydramatic transmission shifts perfectly. New brakes, new alternator, new battery, new fuel pump, new starter, new ignition coil, a complete tune-up including plugs, wires, cap, rotor, points, oil, lube filter and all new fluids help bring the car back to life. There are no mechanical issues at all. There is nothing to do but get in and Go! This is a really nice, rarely seen classic that won't break the bank, doesn't need anything, turns heads and is sure to increase in value. Call for a test drive. Photos prior to the restoration are available. For more photos & details go to fioremotorclassics.
