1979 MG MGB CONVERTIBLE - BLACK-TAN - 15,106 MILES!!, , , THIS WELL DOCUMENTED MGB HAS BEEN TRANSFORMED FROM A NICE CAR TO THE BEST ONE OUT THERE!! THERE WAS NO TIME OR ENERGY SPARED IN MAKING SURE THAT THIS BEUATIFUL VEHICLE CAME OUT PERFECT!! WE HAVE RECIEPTS FROM THE PREVIOUS OWNER SHOWING ALL OF THE RESORATION AND CARE THAT WENT INTO THIS MGB TO BRING IT TO ITS CURRENT CONDITION. THERE IS FAR TO MUCH TO LIST BUT TO GIVE A BRIEF IDEA OF WHAT WAS DONE TO THIS VEHICLE...., , , THE PREVIOUS OWNER PURCHASED IT IN 2007 AND DECIDED TO WORK ON A IT BIT, THIS TURNED INTO STRIPPING DOWN THE ENGINE, DRIVE TRAIN, INTERIOR, WINDOWS, TOP, CARPETING, PADDING, GAUGES, WIRING, LUGGAGE RACK, SIDE GLASS, WINDOW REGULATORS. AND ALL TRIM, BUMPERS, AND DOOR HANDLES. AT THIS POINT THE ENGINE WAS STEAM CLEANED AND STRIPPED FOR PAINT. MIND YOU THERE WAS NO RUST ON THIS CAR TO BEGIN WITH, BUT AT THIS POINT HE WAS SEEKING TO MAKE A PERFECT MGB!! BRAND NEW CUSTOM LEATHER SEAT COVERS WERE ADDED TO THE INTERIOR ON TOP OF ALL NEW CARPET AND DOOR PANELS, SHIFTER BOOT, UNDER DASH COVERS, AND A NEW TOP!! ALL CHROME AND STAINLESS IS POLISHED AND GLEAMING TO FINISH OFF THE EXTERIOR. , , , ON THE UNDER SIDE, ALL NEW BRAKES WERE INSTALLED INCLUDING POLYURETHANE BUSHINGS, CROSS DRILLED ROTORS, RACE CALIPERS AND PADS. THE REAR BRAKE SHOES WERE REPLACED ALONG WITH WHEEL CYLINDES, BEARINGS, SEALS, MASTER CYLINDER, AND BOOSTER AND TOPPED OFF WITH DOT 5 FLUID. AS YOU WOULD EXPECT MUCH WORK WENT INTO THE ENGINE AS WELL WHICH IS HIGHLIGHTED BY HIGH PERFORMANCE CAM, LIFTERS AND PUSH RODS, CAMSHAFT GEAR SET, OIL PUMP, DUEL INTAKE MANIFOLD And DUEL S-U CARBURETORS AND KAndN AIR FILTERS. INSTALLED RACE DISTRIBUTOR ALONG WITH NEW VALVE COVERS AND CUSTOM MADE PULLEY SET. THIS WAS ALL FINISHED OFF WITH A CUSTOM HIGH PERFORMANCE STAINLESS STEEL EXHAUST AND HEADER. THE ENGINE WAS MATED TO A NEW 4 SPEED MANUAL TRANS WITH OVERDRIVE (5 SPEED), WITH A NEW CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER AND SLAVE UNIT. WIRING AND SWITCH FOR THE OVERDRIVE WAS INSTALLED ALONG WITH RACE STARTER, NEW MOTOR MOUNTS, RADIATOR AND BOTH COOLING FANS. THE CLTUCH WAS REPLACED AND A NEW ALLOY FLYWHEEL WAS ADDED. , , , ASIDE FROM THE FINISHING TOUCHES ON PAINT, HE DECIDED AT THIS POINT THAT THE ORIGINAL WHEELS WOULD NOT WORK, SO HE FOUND BRAND NEW MGB FACTORY WHEELS AND ADDED NEW TIRES. SO YOU MIGHT ASK IF THERE IS ANYTHING ORIGINAL LEFT ON THIS VEHICLE AND I WOULD SAY, NO IT IS BETTER THAN ORIGINAL!! THIS CAR DID NOT RUN OR LOOK THIS GOOD FROM THE FACTORY!!, , THIS IS A TRUE COLLECTOR PIECE THAT HAS BEEN RESTORED TO PERFECTION!!
