This is a "grey market" car, purchased in Germany and shipped to the U.S. ( We have all the supporting documents!) The U.S. versions of this car arrived in 1987, but were 600 lbs heavier and had 30 less horsepower. This car is equipped with the S38 B35 motor producing 286hp in a 3300lb car. BMW refers to this car as an E24 with a production build date of 09/84. A beautiful car in beautiful condition. It has the tiny Euro bumpers and factory header. The dash has no cracks(common for this car) and the interior is nearly showroom condition. The car currently has a set of factory BMW BBS two-piece 17 inch rims but will include the original Metric "basket weave" wheels wearing Michelin TRX tires. Only 5855 examples were built between April of 1984 and April of 1989 for world wide sales. This car has even graced the pages of Hemmings Motor News. It spent most of it's life in the southern climes of Florida, Arizona and California. The BMW Car Club of America's Roundel magazine is predicting that this car will be the next collector item from the marque.
