Building a custom truck is expensive business, because you can't go halfway. Bodywork, interior, and even the mechanicals all have to be polished, chromed, painted, or tweaked to create a one-of-a-kind piece of rolling art. This 1985 Chevy C10 is no exception, and even if the design theme isn't your particular cup of tea, you have to admit that the truck is beautifully built. And if it is to your liking, well, you've just found what may be the coolest C10 east of the Mississippi. First of all, the bodywork on this pickup is beyond nice, it's definitely show quality. As I said, you don't build a custom and go halfway, it has to offer near flawless workmanship, and that's doubly true if you're going to use black. The two-tone black over silver finish is shockingly good, with exacting panel alignment and a shine that you have to see to believe. The custom airbrushed graphics have been embedded under the clear, so there's a seamlessness to the work that suggests a lot of time and skill were required. Other custom tricks include the billet grille, the color-matched sport mirrors, and tinted glass. Take a close look, I promise you'll be shocked by the amount of effort that went into the build. It's not just outside that this truck has been heavily modified, there's a beautiful gray tweed interior that takes the C10's crisp lines and dresses them up. Matching tweed covers the door panels and even portions of the dash, which really disguises the truck's working-class origins. Custom billet inserts on the dash, which has also been color-matched to the body, along with a few custom gauges hanging underneath, give it a unique look, while a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo has been fitted in the stock location. And this truck is loaded, including A/C, power windows, power locks, cruise control, and a tilt column topped by a leather-wrapped wheel. Again, nobody cut any corners on this truck. The engine is a GM crate motor, which means 350 cubic inches and 300 horsepower thanks to an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and a Holley 750 double pumper under the satin black air cleaner. Headman supplied the long tube headers, which breathe through a pair of Flowmasters. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic spinning the stock rear end that now wears a chrome cover. The suspension has obviously been lowered, but it has been done correctly with spindles, springs, and lowering blocks, and ride quality doesn't suffer thanks to new shocks all around. Also note that a lot of the components under the hood are brand new, including the master cylinder, alternator, A/C system (which now uses R134a refrigerant), and all the belts and hoses. Those big wheel wells are stuffed full of 20-inch front and 22-inch rear Boss Motorsports alloy wheels wearing 245/45/20 front and giant 285/45/22 rear performance radials. This is a beautifully built, high-quality custom truck, and duplicating it would probably cost at least twice the asking price. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
