Featured in Saleen Club of America magazine as the August cover car and featured write-up. This bad boy just went through a complete and thorough restoration with many modifications and upgrades. Housed up under the hood is one potent 302ci engine that has some serious work done to it in which now is actually a 331ci stroker motor. Turning they key in this bad boy reveals one mean and aggressive sounding engine that boasts 325hp and tire shredding 330ft-lbs of torque. The stroked engine houses a Scat 9000 crank, 4340 I Beam rods, Probe forged pistons, Clevite bearings, File Fit rings and has 9.6:1 compression and has been balanced and blue-printed. Afr 165cc ported heads with upgraded valve springs. Machining was completed by Don Dixon of Dixon Machine. Blue-printed Melling Select oil pump, Moroso S/S deep sump 7qt. oil pan, Comp Cams XE-274 HR12 cam, Comp Cams Pro Magnum roller rockers and hardened push rods, FMS double-roller timing chain with billet cam plate and a Fidanza/Spec billet steel flywheel. 1993 Cobra upper and lower intake ported by TMoss, FMS ceramic coated tube headers with the ceramic coating done by ProCyogenics. The aluminum high capacity radiator with Spal electric fan and controller works flawlessly and keeps everything nice in cool even while sitting in traffic. The Tremec 3550 5spd manual transmission goes through the gears oh so nicely and the FMS aluminum drive shaft with welded safety loop transfers all that power to the wheels every time. King Cobra blue-printed HD clutch with dual performance discs inside the QuickTime bell housing was all spec'd specifically for this engine and transmission from Promotion Performance. With all that power and performance, the rear 4.10 gears with Moser hardened axles and rebuilt Trac-lok, which was set up by Brad and David of Atlanta Chassis Dyno, puts you planted in the back of the seats as if you were launched in a space craft. This bad boy Saleen Mustang was built to handle all that power and performance and was built to handle like its on rails. MM Motorsports full length sub frame connectors, KB jacking rails with Matrix braces, upper and lower Torque Boxes completely stitch welded for superior strength and also sports an AJE k-member. MM Bilstein coilovers, Steeda bumpsteer kit, AJE lower control arms, Steeda cast/camber plates, Steeda rear lower aluminum control arms, FMS HD upper control arms and rear Bilstein shocks with H&R springs. All new bushings and alignment with the suspension set-up completed by Dean at America's Best Automotive. The highly detailed engine bay and chassis shows off all the work and the new steering rack and pump. Brakes were also re-done with EBC Green Stuff Pads in front and full DOT S/S lines. ClassicTube completed all the under-hood line work using Painless braided wires and harness. The vacuum lines and other emission control components were also replaced. The incredible exhaust note was achieved by using new S/S Magnaflow H-pipe with cats and Flowmaster American Thunder Cat-Back exhaust. This baby passes GA smog and emissions without any difficulty at all. The new convertible top works flawlessly and shows the craftsmanship of the interior work off beautifully. Two-tone leather with red piping covers all the seats and door panels. All new weather-stripping and the gorgeous paint were achieved by hours of wet-sanding and buffing. The original wheels were refurbished by Wheel Wizard and are wrapped in Kumho Ecsta Sport radial tires. With the top down, one can still hear the tunes from the new Kenwood AM/FM/CD player due to the great sounding MB Quart speakers mounted in all the factory locations and the addition of two ImageDynamics 10
