Built on the Cobra platform, more power, bigger brakes, bigger tires, and a retuned suspension. Cobras all received a special front fascia and rear bumper, as well as a decklid spoiler. Obviously this one has been expertly maintained from day one,and never used as a daily driver,so all the usual road wear is notably absent. All the Cobra badges are present, and since the Indy Pace Car decals were applied by the dealer, not at the factory, a customer could opt out as they have on this car, giving the new owner the option instead. Tan leather was the only choice in the pace cars, and for the Mustang, it was a massive upgrade. With heavily bolstered front buckets that are as comfortable as they look, it’s a true driver’s car. White-faced gauges were standard in the Cobra, A/C, power windows, power locks, cruise control, and a matching tan power convertible top. Ford’s venerable 302 cubic inch V8 (AKA the 5.0) was revised for 1994, adding 5 horsepower to the Cobra for a total of 240. The cast aluminum intake manifold was unique to this model, along with GT40 iron heads,a roller valvetrain, larger fuel injectors, and a 70mm throttle body.
