This was the Good Doctor’s car from new til now. That is very important because it explains why this particular car is in such unusually great condition. Close examination of the CarFax reveals much: A ONE-OWNER car from new, with ALL SERVICE RECORDS at the dealership (M-B of Knoxville) right until it was traded in for a new Benz last month. The windshield still shows the UT Med Center Parking Garage stickers, and that explains why the paint and materials are in such excellent condition! I would speculate that this car rarely saw daylight more than a couple hours a day – just going from home garage to covered hospital parking for the last 15 years. In our companion Mercedes service facility, Specialty Repair of Alpharetta, we have never seen a car even close to this age with such perfect paint, with no discoloration on the interior materials, no wood defects, no dried-out rubber, no foggy headlights. Of course the mileage is low (less than 10k/yr) and the car drives in a manner reflecting that and its constant professional upkeep at the dealer. If you are an aficionado of Benz, you may also recall that the 1997 was the last year of the legendary in-line 6 cylinder engine – a paragon of reliability unequalled since. But you have to see for yourself – call Jay or Mike for an opportunity to see this rare car for yourself.
