Since its launch in the mid-1990s, the Avalon has been Toyota’s main full-size sedan. It has always been a solid performer, with standard V6 power, lots of interior space and a reputation for reliability. The original Toyota Avalon, sold from 1995-’99, came in two trims (XL and XLS) and had a 192-hp 3.0-liter V6 and a four-speed automatic transmission.
