1998 Jeep Wrangler Sport 4X4. 177,552 actual miles, Michigan clean/clear title.Equipped as follows:4.0L 6 cylinder engine, 5 speed manual transmission. Air, tilt, cruise, power steering, and brakes. Rear wiper/defoger, hard top. fog lamps, alloy rims, delay windshield wipers, am fm cd stereo, and trailer tow package. Condition as follows:I purchased this vehicle from an insurance auction. I honestly cannot tell you why it was even there because the vehicle was not wrecked, with nothing missing on it. However after getting it here, I noticed that the brake petal was very low, there was some noise comming from the right side when you hit a bump. To make a long story short, I had to replace the front to rear brake line, new front brakes, rears were nice. I changed the oil, and oil filter. The frame had a bad spot in the right rear were the rear suspension ties into it. The left side was starting to go as well. They make frame patch panels for this, as it is a common problem on these older wranglers. I ended up replacing both sides, with these new patch panels. They were professionally welded in, and are as strong as factory new. So if you are looking at an older Wrangler make shure you check the rear frame sections out.. All of this cost me $1,200 dollars, but she is ready to rock and roll now. This truck is super tight! No lifter noise, knocks, leaks, check engine lights, and the clutch feels like new. I would almost have to believe that the drive line had been overhauled? There are some livable cosmetic issues as follows, but overall this Wranger is one of the cleanest ones you will find. It looks to me like the truck had been repainted, and they did one hell of a nice job. Not painted is the windshield frame, and center cowl panel below the windshield. Some surface rust on the windshield hinges, and on just the right side front of the cowl panel. No body rust anywhere else on the entire body of the truck. The passenger side door has a rolling dent in the upper middle of it. The far right end of the rear bumper, next to the corner pad, has a dent in it, and one rust scab in it as well. The hard top has a 3 inch cosmetic crack in the right side corner of it, in the fiberglass. Two tiny hard to see door dings in the left door. All four of the rims polished portion of the outer lips are showing some light oxidation marks in them. The interior is very clean with all good air bags. The carpet has discoloration stains in it, mostly hidden by the floor mats. They sell carpet kits for these Jeeps all over the place, or the carpet itself could be dyed if this bothers somebody. The carpet itself is clean, and not ripped or burned. The back seat looks like it had never been sat in. The drivers front seat lower outer side cushion, has some cracks in the vinyl, and light wear in the cloth. Everything on the truck works, it runs perfect, and drives straight down the road.
