Cadillac's DeVille celebrated its 50th anniversary in 2000 with a completely revamped car and the introduction of groundbreaking high-tech features. As Cadillac's flagship sedan, the DeVille is a sophisticated American luxury car that remains true to Cadillac's heritage, yet hints at the division's high-tech future. , , Offered For Sale by the California Automobile Museum, , A 2001 Cadillac DeVille DHS Sedan. As described by Edmunds.com, this model Cadillac is a ritzy DeVille High Luxury Sedan. It has it all from heated seats to rear sunshades. It is just about as fully loaded as any car can be., , Exterior-, This Cadillac is tastefully dressed in Cadillac's signature Pearl White paint. The paint is in very good condition all over but does have a few scratches and blemishes. This Cadillac has the optional chrome rims and they accompany the lines and color of the car quite well. The body of the Cadillac is in good shape except for a dent on the driver's side above the rear wheel. The dent is sort of a rub dent and not a typical impact dent. There are also a few scratches in that general area including the side of the rear bumper. Due to the color of this Cadillac, these flaws are very difficult to see. The front bumper also has one small area in the louvered area designed for air flow. One of the slats is broken but barely noticeable. Aside from those minor cosmetic issues and some condensation in the right front headlight, the exterior is in like new condition., , Interior-, Leather, wood, comfort, and space is what you will find in the cabin. This Cadillac has to be one of the most luxurious, spacious, comfortable cars to ride in made in the early 2000s. The car was equipped with nearly every option Cadillac had to offer in 2001 and every one of those options still operates as it should. There are some cosmetic issues inside as one would expect to find in a vehicle 11 years old. Overall though, the car shows very little wear for the age and mileage. The cosmetic issues to be found are as follows. The front ash tray is a little loose on one side when extended, the passenger's rear door has a sunshade on it and the clip to hold it extended is broken. This same clip prevents the shade from retracting too far. The shade is now retracted into its housing. The child safety feature on this same door will not disengage so the rear passenger door will only open from the outside. The center armrest in the rear has a lid that will not latch and the rear passenger's ashtray is missing its cigarette lighter insert. There are some small stains on the carpet throughout that will probably come out with a good shampoo and there are some scuffs on the seats and seat backs. Finally, the rear power operated sunshade will stick in the extended position intermittently and will need to be nudged to retract it., , Mechanical-, This Cadillac runs, drives, steers, brakes, and operates just like it should. It runs very well down the road in all traffic conditions. From city to highway, this is a comfortable vehicle to operate. There appears to be a small fluid leak although nothing drips to the ground. The frame work under the car has signs of dampness. The Cadillac currently has a little under 127,000 miles on it but the car has had its engine replaced not long ago. There is no documentation of this but the motor was supplied by a Cadillac Parts Recycler in Rancho Cordova, California. The reason for the change is unknown. The only thing aside from the engine swap that needs mentioning is two warnings that occasionally flash in the driver's information center. There is a tire pressure warning and a coolant level warning. The tire pressures are set properly but the warning will occasionally flash. Same thing with the coolant., , Overview-, This Cadillac is a very nice car, exactly as a Cadillac should be. This car would make a great daily driver or a great car for long family trips. There aren't too many left out on the market that have not been modifie
