The Seville was dramatically redesigned in 1980 and moved to a front-wheel-drive platform. The redesigned 1998 Seville received a bold introduction at the Frankfurt Auto Show and continued to challenge import brands with features such as the Northstar V8 engine and road-sensing suspension. While the Northstar V8 engine was carried over from the previous generation, virtually everything else was new. Why would you give up such luxury to get the same gas mileage in a smaller vehicle?
