Generally, the words "truck" and "performace" do not go together well...untill now. Mating those two words together, we have a 2005 Chevy SSR. It may be less truck, and more performance, but if you're still scratching your head as to what exactly it is, I'll explain it to you. The designer, Andre Hudson, essentially took the 390 horsepower LS2 engine and T-56 6-speed manual transmission straight out of a Corvette, and set it down in a Trailblazer based hyrdoformed steel frame, and wrapped it all up in a truck style body, designed to emulate Chevys somewhat forgotten tradition of curvy trucks. A power retractable hard top was incorperated, along with a 5'3" x 4'7" covered, lockable pickup box, making this a very practical street machine. When you mash your right foot down, youll propel yourself from zero to sixty in a blistering 5.3 seconds, and when you need to come back down from outter space and you hit the brakes, your face will peel off with a sixty to zero braking distance of only 123 feet, thanks to the 4 wheel disc brakes. This particular SSR is sporting a beautiful Blue-Green Crystal paint, which changes colors depending on the light and how to look at it. She runs and drives (and cruises main street) great, is in great shape overall, and still has very low miles. Who know putting down the top and taking your special someone out to dinner could be so much fun? Call us today to check out this rare truck. , , Previously salvaged title, actual miles.
