If you're like most people, you took one look at this ultra-clean 2006 Mustang GT and figured there was more than meets the eye. Tastefully modified with a ton of high-end parts, including a Saleen supercharger, this is far more than a bunch of aftermarket parts thrown at a stock Mustang, it's a comprehensively built car that takes no prisoners. That icy blue paint job is subtle, but that's just the way we like it with these big horsepower Mustangs. The hood has grown a set of '60s style hood pins, there are two billet grilles that contribute to the smooth fascia, and there's a custom chin spoiler that's been painted to match, giving it a road race look. Still, the lack of tacked-on body mods really gives this one a sleek look; even the rear wing is OEM. This Mustang was definitely someone's toy, not a daily driver, and the condition of the paint and body bear this out-it's stunning. There's hardly a blemish or a chip anywhere on the car, and the finish has been polished and waxed so frequently that even bugs slide off it when they land. The black leather buckets remain in excellent condition, and the seats are some of the most supportive and comfortable ever fitted to a Mustang. The original dash needed no upgrades, with its cool retro-styled gauges and brushed-aluminum panels with eyeball vents. The stock 5-speed shifter was tossed in favor of a short-throw Hurst cue ball that makes shifts feel like a bolt-action rifle with no slop-you won't miss the 2-3 shift ever again. A slick A-pillar mounted gauge pod holds vital instruments in any supercharged car: boost, fuel pressure, and a trick air-fuel ratio gauge that helps fine-tune the fuel mixture. All the factory options remain intact, including A/C, power windows and locks, and cruise control, plus a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo system. The engine bay received a major upgrade in the form of a Saleen supercharger, intake and water-to-air intercooler mounted down low in the V, so it fits under the stock hood. Saleen was famous for their better-than-OEM quality and exhaustive engineering, and the blower in this car adds horsepower without any cranky attitude from the engine management system. Dyno testing shows an amazing 478 rear-wheel horsepower and 451 pounds of torque, which, thanks to a custom computer flash, drives like a stock car. A set of Flowmasters are part of the package, and with the supercharger running at full boost, the sound is simply spectacular. Suspension upgrades include a set of lowering springs that really hunker the car down on those 18-inch alloys, which wear 255/45/18 front and 285/35/18 rear performance radials. The parts are all top-quality pieces from the best names in the business, and the workmanship is outstanding, making this Mustang somewhat more than the sum of its parts. For something a little out of the ordinary that still carries a rock-solid pedigree, this Mustang delivers. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
