The 2007 Mazda CX-7 is powered by a 244-horsepower turbocharged and intercooled 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine with direct injection combined with a 6-speed sport-shift automatic transmission. Offered in Sport, Touring and Grand Touring trim levels, standard equipment includes 18-inch alloy wheels, four-wheel vented disc brakes; air conditioning; power windows, door locks and mirrors; six airbags; ABS; Dynamic Stability Control (DSC); and Traction Control System (TCS). The Touring edition adds leather-trimmed seats, steering wheel, and shift knob; power driver's seat; heated front seats, and a retractable cargo cover. The Grand Touring adds leather with a black sport seat stripe, HID headlights, fog lights, body-color mirrors, chrome door handles and automatic climate control.
