With few changes in 2011, the Ford Escape and the Escape Hybrid holds onto the styling and mechanics gained through the compact sport utility's 2007 redesign. Gasoline-only Escapes are either powered by a four-cylinder Duratec engine or an optional six-cylinder 3-liter power plant providing a potent 230 horsepower. The 2011 Ford Escape Hybrid continues to combine a 2.5 liter inline-four engine with an electric motor to produce a total 177 horsepower while providing 29 miles per gallon in combined fuel economy. Gasoline-only versions of the Escape consists of XLS, XLT and Limited trim varieties. Hybrid powertrain edition of the 2011 Ford Escape comes in either a base trim or a Limited model. Standard features in all 2011 Ford Escapes list a multi-use center console, Ford MyKey, audio input jack and Easy Fuel Capless Fuel Filler. Features new to the Ford Escape for 2011 includes Active Park Assist, rear view camera and HD Radio.
