NewCars.com reports: In Greek mythology, the Titans were greater even than the gods - and that continues to this day as the 2011 Nissan Titan towers over the full-size truck competition. The most notable change to the 2011 Nissan Titan is the reclassification of its trim levels. The XE, SE and LE have been renamed S, SV and SL, respectively, while the off-road PRO-4X is still truckin along. Power comes from a 317-horsepower, 5.6-liter V-8 (a flex fuel E-85 version of this engine is also offered), which is mated to a five-speed automatic transmission and is available in two- or four-wheel-drive. Cabin choices include King and Crew Cab configurations; the King Cab is equipped with your choice of a 6.6-foot or 8-foot bed, while the Crew Cab gets either a 5.6-foot or 7-foot bed. The Titan receives 12-13 mpg in the city and 17-18 mpg on the highway. When properly equipped, the 2011 Nissan Titan can tow up to 9,500 pounds and carry a maximum payload of 2,062 pounds. Serious off-road enthusiasts have to be excited about the four-wheel-drive Pro-4X trim, which is equipped with Rancho shocks, heavy-duty skid plates, all-terrain tires, and a push-button rear-locking differential. A Pro-4X Driver's Convenience Package includes leather upholstery, driver memory functions, heated mirrors, Bluetooth connectivity, and a Rockford Fosgate sound system.
