The 2012 Volkswagen CC lineup sees some new and revised trim levels. This premium-midsize car has a coupe-like roof line and seating for 4. Sport, Lux, and AWD Executive 4Motion trim levels return. They are joined by the new R-Line, Lux Plus, and Lux Limited. All but the AWD Executive 4Motion are front-wheel drive and have a 200-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder. In Sport and R-Line versions, it teams with a 6-speed manual or 6-speed dual-clutch automated-manual transmission that behaves like an automatic. Lux, Lux Plus, and Lux Limited come with the automated manual only. Executive 4Motion models have all-wheel drive, a 280-horsepower 3.6-liter V6, and a 6-speed automatic transmission. Safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. Heated front seats are standard across the board. R-Line models have specific trim. A navigation system is standard on all but the Sport and R-Line. A rearview camera and hard drive for storing digital-music files is standard on the Lux Plus, Lux Limited, and Executive 4Motion. Leather upholstery, ventilated front seats, and steering-linked headlights are standard exclusively on the Executive 4Motion.
