Mercury - brand cars belongs Ford Motor Company, founded in 1939 to sell mid-priced cars (Medium-Price Field), located between the relatively affordable models of Ford cars and luxury Lincoln. Initially, this unit produces vehicles completely independent development, but today all Mercury models are built on common platforms with models of Ford. Ford has confirmed rumors that the Mercury brand will be liquidated in late 2010.
