Smart (Smart) - the brand of compact car manufactured by the same company, owned by the international automobile industry concern Daimler AG. Enterprise MCC (Micro Compact Car AG) was created by corporation Daimler-Benz and Swiss watchmaker Swatch (Swatch later withdrew from the project) to create an urban two-seater and very economical mini-car Smart. Micro Compact Car in September 2002 changed its name to Smart GmbH. Fist model of Smart was introduced at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 1997. The car is produced in French city the Ambash since 1998.
